ALERT

The City of New Baltimore has been experiencing more and more sewer backups.
Please know that the only thing that should be going down your drains is toilet paper and water.
You should not be dumping oils, grease, rags, wipes, etc. – these types of things are very harmful to our sanitary system.
Depending on how our homeowners insurance works, you might not be covered for damages.
We strongly advise you to make sure that your back flow prevention systems are working and maintained – it is your last defense of stopping sewage from backing up into your home.
If everyone is mindful of what they are putting down the drains and work together, it would be very helpful in stopping a blockage of ever forming.

Thank you,
John Klimaszewski
