August is Home Visiting Month! Kalamazoo County HCS has several home visiting programs designed to meet the unique needs of your family. What is Home Visiting?
Home visiting programs are free, voluntary, programs designed to provide extra support and training for parents and caregivers. Our home visiting staff works one-on-one with families in their homes or at a location the family is most comfortable with. Home visitors can give you information on many topics based on what your family needs. Some of these topics include:
Pregnancy
Parenting practices
Children’s health and development
Community resources and services available in your area
