City of Portage issued the following announcement on Mar 31.

Starting April 1, Portage Parks & Recreation will open the Bike Portage bike share rental program for the 2022 season. Bike Portage features ten step-through style bicycles available for rent at Celery Flats Park (7301 Garden Lane), near the canoe livery building. Users must download the Movatic app on their mobile device, create an account, allow the app to use their location to find the “Celery Flats” bike share location, and follow the prompts to pay for and unlock their bicycle. The bike share rental program is operational April 1 through October 31, as weather permits. Bike Portage is made possible by a generous donation from Discover! Kalamazoo.

Bike Portage Rental Rates

Walk-up/Non-member $1 to unlock, $1 per 30 min (max $20/day)

Member First hour free, $1 per additional 30 min (max $20/day)

• Monthly Membership $15 plus Member rates

• Annual Membership (April – October)

$50 plus Member rates

Discounted Annual Membership $10 plus Member rates (contact Parks & Recreation for details and to apply)
