City of Kalamazoo issued the following announcement on Feb 9.

Parkview Avenue Reconstruction will begin in April 2022

The City of Kalamazoo will hold a virtual Zoom meeting on Thursday, February 24, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to discuss the upcoming reconstruction of Parkview Avenue. This coordinated project is expected to start in April and will include a repaved roadway, upgraded water main, new water service lines, and pedestrian improvements.

Residents can join the meeting via the Zoom link (https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82535922695) and ask questions using the webinar’s Q&A Chat box. Residents can also call in to listen to the meeting by dialing 269-552-6425 and entering Meeting ID 825 3592 2695.

The meeting will be recorded and posted on the City of Kalamazoo YouTube Channel following the meeting.

City staff will present information on the planned improvements, scope, timeline, phased detouring, and other aspects of the reconstruction work and will also be available to answer any questions residents may have about the project.

Parkview Avenue reconstruction was originally scheduled to be completed in 2021 but was postponed due to supply chain shortages.
