As we age, we may encounter obstacles to proper nutrition such as home life, income, or health.
During National Nutrition Month we want to highlight the efforts from Area Agency on Aging IIIA of Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services to ensure that older adults in our community have access to proper, balanced nutrition. The Social Workers and Nurses at AAA help coordinate access to nutritional food as needed for older adults who are currently enrolled in AAA’s case management program. Additionally, the AAA Information and Assistance Social Workers make referrals to local food resources for community members.
