The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware that residents have been receiving calls from unknown people claiming to work for the Sheriff’s Office and telling them they owe fees and fines to the Sheriff’s Office.

They are using the names of our deputies and directing residents to use google blue dots to pay these fines and fees prior to reporting to 1500 Lamont Ave.

The Sheriff’s Office would like all residents to know that this is a scam. We will never call you if you have fines, fees, or warrants and tell you to pay an online service over the phone. We do not use google blue dots payment for anything.

If you ever receive a call like this, please do not give them any money or go to any online site to pay fees or fines. Do not give them your personal information over the phone. Always call us here ay the Sheriff’s Office yourself 269-383-8821 or stop by our front desk.
