Kalamazoo Public Library recently issued the following announcement.
20 years ago, Laurie Halse Anderson wrote SPEAK, a story about a girl dealing with the aftermath of sexual abuse. This year she published SHOUT, a personal memoir and call to action told in verse. Teens and their parents/caregivers are invited to join us for this two-part book club where we’ll read both books and discuss how times have or have not changed.
