Rep. Beth Griffin (R-Mattawan) recently discussed various things she is doing in relation to Michigan’s response to COVID-19.
Griffin wrote on her Facebook page that she is seeking answers on why the CDC isn’t retesting patients after they are out of quarantine to ensure they are safe to go back to work, answers on why the Unemployment Insurance Agency isn’t responding to all of the people needing help, and questioning transparency and access to data that is influencing Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s decisions. She is also fighting to allow construction, landscapers, lawn care, and single-employee businesses to operate if they can mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
“We are all in this together as we work towards flattening the curve in our state,” Griffin wrote in her Facebook post. “This awful disease has infected thousands in our state, but its impact has been felt by all of us.”
According to Michigan.gov, there have been almost 52,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in the state, as of May 18.
