The City of Kalamazoo issued the following announcement on Sept. 28.
The Planning Commission will meet in session on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. During this meeting a public hearing will be held to consider an update to Chapter 50 Zoning Code and an update of the Zoning Map (rezoning) for Downtown and adjacent blocks.
This meeting will be conducted electronically in order for members, staff, and the public to comply with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 2020-160, “Amended Safe Start Order.”
Accessing the Meeting
The meeting will be streamed live on the City’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KalamazooCity/) and YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIgXSSXLSDxThVaaiRMsR5Q).
Members of the public without computer or internet access can listen to the meeting by calling 269.552.6425 and entering Meeting ID 928 6487 2539 when prompted.

Persons who wish to comment on one of the requests before the Planning Commission may do so between 6:30 p.m. and the end of the public hearing for each case by calling 269.226.6573 and leaving a recording. Comments received in time for a specific case will be played during the public hearing for that case.
Please note: on a regular basis there are multiple items on a Planning Commission agenda, as well as a time for general public comments. When leaving a recording please begin with the topic you are addressing to ensure your comments are played during the correct part of the meeting.
