City of Kalamazoo issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.
The City of Kalamazoo is offering two training sessions for organizations that are interested in applying for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) or HOME Funding for the 2021 Program Year.
Sessions will be held virtually via Zoom:
Thursday, November 5 at 10 a.m.
Thursday, November 5 at 5:30 p.m.
Attendance at one of these sessions is required for applicants. Both sessions will cover the same material.
The City will be seeking applications that address affordable housing and neighborhood enhancement, both priorities of the City's Consolidated Plan. This could include homeowner rehabilitation, home repair, down payment assistance, rehabilitation of rental housing, or neighborhood projects that focus on revitalization.
The application packet will be available the day of the training sessions.
