Speaking on WJR's "The Paul W. Smith Show," Donald Trump Jr. compared his father’s financial transactions in China with those of Hunter Biden, the younger son of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
The Trump organization already had a bank account in China before President Donald Trump was elected, Trump Jr. explained.
“We were international businesspeople prior to getting into the presidency, unlike Hunter Biden, who became an international businessperson when he could leach off his father’s office,” Trump Jr. told Smith.

The Trump bank account in China was for legitimate business purposes and was disclosed on tax returns, according to Trump Jr.
“There’s a big difference between having a bank account there and Hunter Biden receiving $1.5 billion -- billion -- from the Chinese government to manage funds,” Trump Jr. said on the radio show. “That’s $30 million a year in fees to the Biden family from the Chinese government. And I’m sure Hunter was a great investor. You see his track record with everything else. They weren’t giving that to him because he was a great investor. They were giving it to him because that’s their way of bribing him."
Hunter Biden’s financial dealings are “a hundred times everything they hoped and prayed I was doing... but that didn’t stop them from trying to throw me in jail for three years,” Trump Jr. told Smith.
Hunter Biden owns 10% of a Chinese company, which the president’s son claims is taking jobs away from Americans. If elected president, Joe Biden would not help Michigan workers who are losing their jobs to China, according to Trump Jr..
"Joe Biden has been talking about these things for 47 years, and he’s done exactly the opposite,” Trump Jr. said on the radio program. “He sent our American dream to China. That ends, and we've got to retire Joe Biden.”
Biden supported “every disastrous trade deal that sent our blue-collar, hard-working jobs to China, to Mexico and elsewhere,” Trump Jr. told Smith.
