The City of Kalamazoo issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
The City of Kalamazoo is currently seeking nominations for the 2021 Social Justice Youth Awards.
The awards recognize youth between the ages of 12 and 19 for community service, volunteerism, and leadership towards causes that promote justice and equity for everyone.
Nominations are accepted from adults who work with youth, such as teachers, advisors, mentors, or coaches.
Nominations can be submitted online, by mail, or by fax through 5 p.m. on Monday, December 7 at https://www.kalamazoocity.org/mlkday.
