Comstock Public Schools issued the following announcement on July 8.
Thank you for all your contributions to our community. Mr. Veenuis' impact extends far beyond the soccer field.
Comstock soccer is very saddened to learn of the passing of Dave Veenhuis. Dave was a middle school soccer coach for several years. Dave and his wife Jodie were instrumental in building the soccer programs for both girls and boys.
Dave and Jodie’s children, Emily and Evan, were avid soccer players which fueled Dave’s involvement and love for soccer.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family. Dave will be greatly missed.
