City of Brighton issued the following announcement on Sept 27.
The City of Brighton’s Fall Leaf Bag Collection will begin the week of October 5, 2020. Starting that week, yard waste and leaf bags will be picked up every week on your normal trash pickup day through November 25. During this time, residents are not limited to the number of bags that can be placed at the curb for collection.
Please store your brown yard waste bags where they are not exposed to heavy rain. Yard waste bags should be stored in the garage or under an overhang. If heavy rain is expected in the evening before your pickup day, we are asking residents to place yard waste bags out in the early morning. Wet, heavy leaves/yard waste can cause collection issues.
In addition to this service, the City will once again be offering the curbside leaf vacuuming service to residents. Please note that the leaf vacuuming service is a supplementary service for front yard leaves and that the backyard leaves should be placed in the brown bags for pickup by Waste Management. The leaf vacuuming schedule and details will be posted shortly.
