Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Mandated Water Service Material Investigation

Cityhall

City of Charlotte issued the following announcement on Oct 25.

Starting this week, Taplin Group will be hydroexcavating approximately 650 services throughout the City as part of the EGLE mandate that the City identify the materials of water services on both sides of the shutoff box at the right-of-way.

You may see colored flags in your yard for the MISS DIG response. Taplin will be using a large truck to make two small holes on either side of the shutoff. The holes will be filled once they are done. There will be NO interruption to your water service.

This work is partially funded by a grant from EGLE.
