Join Portage Parks & Recreation at Schrier Park, 850 West Osterhout Avenue, for a full session of the Kingpins Drumline workshop. This six-week program starts on Tuesday, January 4 at 6 PM and runs every Tuesday, through February 8.
The Kingpins Drumline program provides students with special needs, a drumming program specifically tailored for performers of different abilities. Drumming provides a thrilling outlet for fun performances, while unique capabilities of each participant are encouraged. Students learn to listen, follow suggestions and work together. All equipment is provided for the classes. Students must be 14 or older to participate. Space is limited to only 20 students per session, so register today at mypark.portagemi.gov.
The workshop is taught by the Crystal Lake Strikers, which has more than 14 years of drum instruction experience. The organization specializes in educating students with different backgrounds and experience levels.
