There were 92 American Indian students enrolled in Kalamazoo County districts in the 2022-23 school year, 22.7% more than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Data showed that Kalamazoo County welcomed 34,099 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.3% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the county districts.

Among the 16 districts in Kalamazoo County, Kalamazoo Public Schools recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 43 students.
