Broncos are set to return to Western Michigan University for Homecoming and Family Weekend from October 25-27. The event promises a mix of football, family activities, and campus spirit. Students will start the festivities with Spirit Week from October 21-25, featuring tailgating, a flag football tournament, and a mini pumpkin giveaway.

Families and alumni are encouraged to join the homecoming celebrations. Events include campus tours, a family dinner, and pumpkin painting. The highlight is the homecoming parade followed by the game against Kent State at 3:30 p.m. on October 26 at Waldo Stadium.

Dr. Reetha Raveendran stated, “It’s a perfect opportunity for students to share their campus experience with their loved ones and celebrate Bronco pride together.” She emphasized the importance of families in students' lives during their time at WMU.

A Broncopalooza Homecoming Alumni and Family Tailgate is scheduled before the game on October 26 at noon on Heritage Hall Grand Lawn.

The university will also recognize distinguished alumni for their achievements across various fields. Celebrations include:

- College of Education and Human Development's Golden Apple Awards on October 25 at 5 p.m.

- College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Alumni Awards on October 25 in Floyd Hall.

- Haworth College of Business Alumni Awards ceremony on October 25 at 4 p.m.
