Western Michigan University is set to award over 2,100 degrees at its spring commencement on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The degrees include more than 1,500 at the bachelor's level, over 500 at the master's level, and nearly 100 at the doctoral level. President Edward Montgomery will address the graduates, with vignettes highlighting their success and a tribute to their accomplishments.

Graduates come from 50 nations, including the United States, and will participate in one of four ceremonies scheduled throughout the day at Miller Auditorium. The first ceremony at 9 a.m. is dedicated to the College of Education and Human Development and the College of Aviation. The noon ceremony includes the College of Health and Human Services and the College of Fine Arts. At 3 p.m., the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Haworth College of Business will hold their ceremony. The final event at 6 p.m. is for the College of Arts and Sciences and Merze Tate College.

Due to limited seating, guests, including family members and children of any age, require tickets to enter Miller Auditorium. Graduating students have until Monday, April 21, to reserve their tickets. Following this deadline, tickets will no longer be available.

For those unable to attend in person, viewing will also be available on a large screen in Brown Hall, where tickets are similarly required. The Extended Family and Friends Livestream Lounge tickets can be reserved starting Tuesday, April 22, until Thursday, April 24. Additionally, a livestream of the ceremonies will be accessible online via the Commencement webpage, offering more details on the event.

WMU holds formal graduation ceremonies after each fall and spring semester and the summer I session, while graduations also occur post the summer II session.
