Friday, Feb. 7: Gull Lake High School standout Ava Coffinger’s college team loses to Alabama Crimson Tide

On Friday, Feb. 7, former Gull Lake High School standout Ava Coffinger’s current college team, the Michigan State Spartans, lost 6-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The game took place at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Crimson Tide this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. at Jack Turner Softball Stadium against Georgia Bulldogs.
