The Portage Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) announces the inaugural Recycled Art Contest to promote recycling in Portage! This contest is for all ages in the following age groups: K-4th, 5th-8th, 9th-12th, and 18+, and provides an opportunity to give unused items a new life in art, promote creativity, and enhance public awareness of recycling.

YAC members will judge the artwork based on recycling content, creative use of materials, originality, and overall design. The winners from each age group will receive a prize and the artwork will be displayed at City Hall for the week of April 24 to April 28.

Hurry! The YAC is accepting only ten projects in each category. All projects should be made from clean recycled materials, be original, and be limited to 3’ x 3’ in size. Official contest rules and submission forms can be found at https://mi-portage.civicplus.com/878/YAC-Events
