Kzoo Parks and the Kalamazoo Youth Action Council (KYAC) will host a Karaoke Game Night for youth and teens on Friday, February 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This free event will include karaoke, music, board games, refreshments, food, and giveaways while supplies last. Board games will include Giant Spoons, the teen edition of Cards Against Humanity, Apples to Apples, and more.

The event will be held in the Community Room at Mayors’ Riverfront Park (251 Mills St). Youth and teens in grades 6 to 12 are invited to attend and can RSVP by emailing kzooparks@kalamazoocity.org or calling 311 or (269) 337-8000. The theme is glow, so attendees are invited to wear neon colors.

“As a member of KYAC we want to create events that get youth and teens involved that allow them to network with other youth in the community,” said KYAC member, Paul Evans. “This is our first event of the year and hope to continue to create some memorable events throughout 2023!”

The Kalamazoo Youth Action Council (KYAC) was formed in 2020 by Kzoo Parks as a way for youth in Kalamazoo to provide input on youth programs and activities while developing leadership skills, learning about City government, networking, and making friends. The council currently includes 13 members ages 13 to 18 years of age.
