Cost of college went up for all students at Kalamazoo College

Tuition and fees rose 3.9 percent for 2018-19 at Kalamazoo College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $48,666 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,826 more than the $46,840 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 442 students received grants or scholarships totaling $14.7 million and 264 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,467), 1,416 students used grants or scholarships totaling $44.7 million, and 775 students took out $5.6 million in federal student loans.
