Rep. Beth Griffin (R-Mattawan) recently honored a Michigan teen who was named Youth of the Year for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo.
“Congratulations to Matthew Blue for being honored as the Youth of the Year by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo,” Griffin said in a Facebook post.
Blue received this award for all of his achievements within the club.
Youth of the Year is a program that recognizes and celebrates youths with tremendous achievements within the club, the Boys and Girls Clubs said on its website.
In her Facebook post, Griffin said, “Thank you Matthew for all you do at the Boys and Girls Club and Southwest Michigan!”
The club is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe and fun place for youth ages 5 to 18 to learn and grow, the club said on their website. The club also supplies programs to develop character and enhance life.
